This triptych is depicting the changes of a sunset behind trees. I painted it because I love that sunsets change so quickly that if you look away for a moment and look again the colors are already different.  Each canvas has a shadowbox cutout made of canvas.  I paint in the shadowbox first and then I paint the rest of the canvas.  In this painting the rest of the canvas is painted in a rich red feather pattern.
