This painting is of two great blue herons. They are just about to land. The sunlight is shining between the feathers of the wings and tail of the bird on the left. The background is a blue and green combination made up of a textured pattern to look like feathers and fur. I love this painting so much I recently made it into a triptic (which I don't have pictures of yet).
